520 |a The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning model Problem Based Learning (PBL) combined Numbered Heads Together (NHT) against metacognitive skills and critical thinking abilities geography high school students. This study is a quasi-experimental research with a quantitative approach. Subjects numbered 56 students consisting of two classes of class XI IPS 2 as an experimental class and class XI IPS 1 as the control class. The research instrument is an essay test amounted to 8 essay test questions for metacognitive and critical thinking which consists of 4 questions about the pretest and 4 questions posttest. The analysis technique used is the unpaired t-test (Independent Samples t-Test). Statistical test results metacognitive skills significance value 0.016 <0.005, with the average value of gain score the experimental class higher at 17 compared to the control class is 12.  As for the value of critical thinking skills acquired significance 0.001 <0.005 with average value Score Gain experimental class is higher at 18 compared with the control class is equal to 12. Based on these results it can be concluded that there are significant application of learning models Problem Based Learning (PBL) combined Numbered Heads Together (NHT) against metacognitive skills and critical thinking skills in high school students Environment material. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dipadu Numbered Heads Together (NHT) terhadap keterampilan metakognitif dan kemampuan berpikir kritis geografi siswa SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 56 siswa yang terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes esai berjumlah 8 soal tes essay untuk metakognitif dan berpikir kritis yang terdiri dari 4 soal pretest dan 4 soal posttest. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji-t tidak berpasangan (Independent Samples t-Test). Hasil uji statistik diperoleh nilai signifikansi keterampilan metakognitif 0,016<0,005, dengan nilai rata-rata Gain Score kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi yaitu sebesar 17 dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yaitu sebesar 12. Sementara itu, untuk nilai signifikansi kemampuan berpikir kritis diperoleh 0,001<0,005 dengan nilai rata-rata Gain Score kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi yaitu sebesar 18 dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yaitu sebesar 12. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dipadu Numbered Heads Together (NHT) terhadap keterampilan metakognitif dan kemampuan kritis pada materi Lingkungan Hidup siswa SMA
