Summary: | In this case series, five girls and two boys presented with purpuric-ecchymotic lesions that appeared around their lips. All patients were under the age of 15. While patients did not reveal any history of trauma at the beginning, they later accepted a history of sucking their lips inside their mouths or suctioning cups. In addition to negative routine laboratory tests including parvovirus in these patients, the lesions disappeared in several days. To the best of our knowledge, childhood suction purpura was examined for the first time in this case series. |
