The methodological strategy used was the realistic simulation, performed at the Skills Laboratory, with third semester students of a Nursing Undergraduate Course, from a Federal Public University. Results: Two simulations were performed in the first semester of 2017, which addressed the protocols of Hand Hygiene, Correct Patient Identification, Safe Surgery and intravenous devices, catheters and probes. Afterwards, discussions was done to strengthen participants' knowledge and skills. Conclusions: the students' experience on the use of realistic simulation was positive, allowing greater confidence based on their experience
