| Summary: | The aim was to understand the approaches to Agroecology, Food Sovereignty (SA) and Food and Nutritional Security (SAN) in Peasant Education. The methodology involved content analysis of works published in the Annals of SIFEDOCs that took place in 2018, highlighting the practices and perspectives demonstrated in the experiences of rural schools and the work of academics on undergraduate courses in southern Brazil. The topic of food was more related to Agroecology than to SA and SAN. The terms SA and SAN were mentioned a few times in the Annals and were not always mentioned together. SAN was not approached from a multidimensional approach, however some of the dimensions (nutritional, environmental, ethical, sociocultural or political) were found in specific studies and experiences. SA was approached as a right, integrating other demands. Few works explained the understanding of Agroecology, SA and SAN. It is concluded that there is a need for food to be addressed in Peasant Education beyond production and include the cultural diversity of rural subjects and social movements. The construction of Peasant Education in the political and analytical sphere involves interdisciplinary dialogue that articulates productive and economic dimensions with socio-environmental and political dimensions. |
