It serves as an essential diagnostic tool for clinical assessment and treatment planning and has revolutionized every aspect of dental implant treatment steps. Materials and methods: For this article, we analysed and compared a number of 21 medical research studies such as systematic reviews, meta-analysis and clinical guidelines specialized in this field. We analysed articles from 2012 to nowadays to obtain an overview of the importance of radiological evaluation of muco-bone support in dental implantology. Results and Conclusions: CBCT imaging and 3D computer software have significantly increased the accuracy and efficiency of diagnostic and treatment capabilities, thereby contributing towards for more predictable treatment outcomes and improved patient care in implant dentistry.
