Summary: | We present the case of a newborn patient with diagnosis of proximal jejunal atresia type IIIa, complicated with volvulus due to a congenital band. An innovative and alternative procedure is proposed compared to other decompressive and functionalizing stoma techniques utilized for diversion of fecal stream. In our case a T-tube enterostomy presented multiple benefits for the patient. The advantages of the procedure used are discussed. |
