Summary: | The review paper provides brief analysis of phototherapy methods used in various dermatoses. Phototherapy can be prescribed in combination with drugs or used solo. Phototherapy methods based on using the medium-wavelength (UVB) and long-wavelength (UVA) ultraviolet radiation are most commonly used in clinical practice: PUVA therapy and narrow-band UVB (311 nm) therapy, as well as treatment with excimer light with the wavelength of 308 nm. Photodynamic therapy combining photosensitizer, oxygen and visible light also gradually takes leading positions in aesthetic medicine and dermatology. |
