Summary:Cultural values have a great influence on human behaviour, offering the foundations for decision making. It is important for nurses to know the traditions of the different cultural groups they care for. The im of this study is to approach traditions and care around birth and death in the Muslim world, focusing on the north of Morocco Riff mountains community. We have carried out an etnographic study that shows certain paralelisms between Christian and Muslim traditions around birth and death.
