Untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh ekstrak </em><span style="font-family: TribuneItalic; font-size: 9pt; color: #231f20; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal;"><em>daun sirih terhadap produksi sitokin proinflamasi dikerjakan dengan menginkubasi ekstrak daun sirih bersama sel mononuklear darah </em><span style="font-family: TribuneItalic; font-size: 9pt; color: #231f20; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal;"><em>perifer yang distimulasi dengan lipopolisakarida. Sel mononuklear darah perifer diperoleh dari relawan sehat yang diisolasi dengan </em><span style="font-family: TribuneItalic; font-size: 9pt; color: #231f20; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal;"><em>metode sentrifugasi densitas menggunakan ficoll-hypaque.
