Evaluation of Three Different Comercial Brands of Guta-percha in Relation of Theirs Apical Diameter
Objective: This research objective was to verify among three different gutta-percha commercial brands (Dentsply, Tanari, Diadent) witch one has presented the most coincident diameter with stainless steel files of the same caliber. Summary: | Objective: This research objective was to verify among three different gutta-percha commercial brands (Dentsply, Tanari, Diadent) witch one has presented the most coincident diameter with stainless steel files of the same caliber. Method: Therefore, a perfilometer was used to analyze 90 gutta-percha points, divided into three major groups: Group 1 (Dentsply) composed by 10 gutta-percha points caliber 30, 10 with 35 caliber and 10 with 40 caliber. Group 2 (Tanari), and Group 3 (Diadent) both with the same arrange as Group1. Group 4 was the control group, composed by 3 flexofiles (Maillefer, Dentsply) 30, 35 and 40 calibers. Results: After statistical analyses, and results evaluations, was that the average of deviation calibers obtained in Group 1 (Dentsply) was 0.17643 ± o.12165; for Group 2 (Tanari) was 0.04503 ± 0.0564, and for Group 3 (Diadent) was 0.06297 ± 0.10007. Conclusion: It can be concluded, that the best relation between file caliber and gutta percha D0 or D1 diameter was found in Group 2. |
