<div align="justify">Este artigo apresenta a contribuição da teoria das Representações Sociais (RS) de Moscovici às pesquisas acerca das representações de Meio Ambiente. Apresenta investigações do período de 1995 a 2004 desenvolvidas no Brasil e Portugal que fizeram relação entre a teoria das RS e o campo de investigações ambientais.<br><br>Abstract This paper presents the contribution of Moscovici´s Theory of Social Representations (RS) to the research on the representations of the Environment. It presents researches developed in Brazil and Portugal the period from 1995 to 2004 that established the relationship between the theory of RS and the field of environmental investigations.</div>
