Description
Summary:The importance of the assessment stage is widely known as it is the first stage in the Nursing Care Process. This phase deals with the collection of data on the patient's health status in order to obtain a conclusion or diagnose leading to an individualized care plan, which is our aim as nurses. But the changes brought by the new millennium concerning new pathologies and therefore new types of patients, offer new challenges in patient care. We suggest a change in the model that will guide this assessment process: the SYSTEMIC FAMILY MODEL.
