Summary:The methods used for the measurement management system range from the verification of the equipment to the application of statistical techniques in the control of the measurement process. In the health sector, metrological confirmation is basically developed. In this sector, it serves to verify that the measurements of the equipment are reliable, both those of diagnosis and those of therapy, which directly results in the safety of the patient. The use of methodologies for the construction and application of a performance indicator with a management approach is the most successful in these times. The objective of this work is to explain how the evaluation of metrological performance is essential for the evaluation of quality in health units, based on updated procedures to contribute to create a metrological culture in organizations of this sector.
