| Summary: | <p class="Abstract">Abstrak- Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji efektivitas pendekatan pembelajaran antara pendekatan problem posing <em>setting</em> model kooperatif tipe STAD dengan pendekatan problem posing <em>setting</em> model kooperatif tipe TAI terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis dan self eficacy mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik dalam pembelajaran kalkulus.<em> </em>Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan pretest-posttest non equivalent group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelompok eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester III Fakultas Teknik Universitas Majalengka Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yang diambil secara acak. Adapun kelas yang diperoleh adalah kelas IIIC dan IIID Teknik Informatika. Kelas IIIC mendapatkan perlakuan dengan pendekatan problem posing <em>setting</em> STAD dan kelas IIID mendapatkan perlakuan dengan pendekatan problem posing <em>setting</em> TAI. Analisis multivariat dengan <em>Wilks'lambda </em>digunakan untuk membandingkan efektivitas kedua pendekatan pembelajaran. Dikarenakan terdapat perbedaan efektivitas antara kedua kelompok eksperimen, maka dilakukan uji lanjut dengan analisis uji univariat uji <em>Levene's </em>yang digunakan untuk menentukan mana yang lebih efektif antara kedua pendekatan pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan self eficacy. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) pendekatan pembelajaran problem posing <em>setting </em>STAD efektif terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan self eficacy, 2) pendekatan pembelajaran problem posing <em>setting </em>TAI efektif terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan self eficacy, dan 3) pendekatan pembelajaran problem posing <em>setting </em>TAI lebih efektif dibandingkan pendekatan pembelajaran
