| Summary: | Appendiceal intussusception in children is a rare entity characterized by the invagination of the appendix into the cecum. The early diagnosis and optimal surgical management of appendiceal intussusception have not been achieved because of its rarity. Here, we report a case of a 7-year-old girl with appendiceal intussusception presenting with recurrent ileocecal invagination. She was treated by simple appendectomy without using a stapling device. The imaging findings in patients with appendiceal intussusception were reported, and the optimal surgical treatment for appendiceal intussusception was discussed. |
