This study's greatest contribution is to highlight the interns' poor performance in the legal and support aspects of the situations addressed. The data speak in favor of an institutionalized training policy as the first step toward getting the healthcare sector to prioritize competence in healthcare for victims of violence related to gender and non-heterosexual sexuality.
