With a comment by Erika Beermann. Unter dem schlichten Titel "Serbische Lieder" oder auch "Volkslieder der Serben" haben seit dem Beginn des vorigen Jahrhunderts Schöpfungen der serbischen Volkspoesie in die deutsche Literatur Einzug gehalten. Es kam verschiedenes zusammen: eine bedeutende Übersetzerin, das Interesse bedeutender Zeitgenossen und die Strömung der Romantik, die den Dichtungen zu glücklicher Fahrt verhalf.
