During the hospital stay, he developed palpitation for which tests for thyroid functions were done which revealed subacute thyroiditis. He recovered fully with the treatment. Subacute thyroiditis is one of the rarely mentioned causes of Pyrexia of Unknown origin. A high index of suspicion and appropriate imaging is required for early diagnosis and management.</p>
