Over the years, due to various anthropogenic and environmental reasons population of Indian Major Carp (IMCs) has declined, and some native species are on the way to extinction in this Lake. Considerable research has been conducted on different aspects of lake fishery with hydrology, culture technology, fish diversity, management, threats, and mitigations, but no such consolidated report on the overall overview is not available on this Lake. This review paper has been prepared to combine all the available information along the information gap, further study of which will be helpful to enhance the Indian major carp catch and sustainable management of fish stock.</p>
