The following article therefore argues that UiTM could be the right institution for pioneering a method based, not on (structural or generative) linguistics, but on dialogic semiotics, an original integrative approach combining the works of Peirce (1948), Bakhtin (1971), Petbfi (1975), Hymes (1992) and Eco (1990).
