Foreign language has been long taught to students since early childhood education as it is important to have language skills to get a job. Most of the students only learned new languages based on what they read in the textbook and never get real experience to practice the languages. The lack of experience leads to the difficulty of the student practising the languages they learned in real life. Cultural experience is one of the experiences that might help students to practice their language skills. In this era where the internet and social media could be accessed anytime and anywhere by whomever, cultural experience can be gotten using social media. This study aims to examine the effectivity of using social media as a media to get a cultural experience for foreign language students. Qualitative research method is employed in this study.
