Summary:The objective of the study is to describe the forms, meaning, and function of register used in ticketing division. The research is descriptive qualitative. The data of the register used in ticketing are in the form of words and phrases. To collect the data, the writer uses observation and documentation method. The data are analyzed based on their linguistic forms and their meaning. In analyzing the meaning of the register, the writer employs the theory proposed by Halliday and Biber Douglas. The conclusion of the study shows that: 1) the linguistic forms of the register are words and phrases. The words consist of 2 categories; there are single word and compound word. This research found 8 noun phrases, 4 verb phrases, 3 adjective phrases, and 7 compound words. 2) There no phrases found in this research. The meaning of register used in ticketing division are divided into three categories, they are: (a) based on the fields, when the agents make ticket, when the agents distribute the ticket, when someone wants to buy ticket; (b) based on the mode, the register is used in the form of speech; and (c) based on the tenor, the register is used among the employees and passenger.
