Summary:Relapse of pulmonary tuberculosis is pulmonary tuberculosis patients who previously received treatnebt of tuberculosis and been declared cured or complete treatment and then come back for treatment with the results of positive sputum smear basil. Factor which sought the relationships inthis study is repeated exposure to tuberculosis risk factor, medication history, nutritional status, other dieases. Puspose of this study was to determine risk factor for recurrence (relapse) in patiens with pulmonary tuberculosis at the Center for Lung Health Society (BBKPM) of Surakarta. This study include observational studies is to obsesve and analyze the relationship between independent variabel and the dependent variabel through the testing of hipotheses are formulated. Number of respondents in this study aas the control group (cured). This study design is case control study, a study that began with the selection of individuals, a group of case and control for which the cause is under investigation. The results showed that there is a repeated exposure to tuberculosis with pulmonary TB disease relapse (p-value: 0.019; OR: 2.22; CI: 1,638-3,002), there is a history of taking drugs with pulmonary TB relapse (p-value: 0.010; OR: 2.27; CI:1,662-3,107) , there is a relationship with the nutritional status of pulmonary tuberculosis relapse (p-value: 0.035; OR: 3.88; CI: 1,056-14,276), and no association between comorbidities such as diabetes mellit us (DM) and renal failure with pulmonary TB relapse (p-value: 0.553; OR: 2.07 CI: 0,177-24,312).
