Summary

Contraception is an effort made to prevent pregnancies that are temporary or permanent. Type of contraception often make people confused to determine the choise of a suitable contraceptive use and a lot of factors that play a role at determining the choise of contracetives. The purpose of this study was to explain what factors distinguish the selection and IUD contraceptive pill at women of childbearing age in the working area at district Baki of Sukoharjo. This research is an observational study with cross sectional method. The population at the study of WUS who use an IUD or contraceptive pills are recorded in 2010-2014 in the district of Baki of Sukoharjo. Total of 167 samples with 37 acceptors of IUD acceptors and 130 acceptor of pills. The results showed that there are a difference between income (p = 0.002), knowledge (p = 0.000), attitude (p = 0.000), access to health care (p = 0.000) and support health workers (p = 0.000) at contraceptives choice IUDs and pills on women of fertile age (WUS) at the working area of the district of Baki of Sukoharjo.
