Summary:The purpose of this study was to determine the difficulties experienced by students and the cause of the difficulties experienced by students in the drawing and understand the inner circle and outer circle of a triangle. The research subject are class. The research subject is class VIII G and VIII H MTsN Gondangrejo. Data collected by observation, documentation, test and interview. The results showed that: (1) difficulties experienced by students in drawing the inner circle and outer circle of the triangle is (a) the difficulty of making arc, the students did not know the concept, how to paint a circular arc and is not appropriate in determining the point; (b) the difficulty split into equally large angle of intersection points marked arc made is not clear so that students determine their own point of intersection; (c) students' difficulty in painting the axes, it is because students are not able to determine the size of more than half of the triangle; (d) difficulties due to paint a circle in the corner of the triangle is divided is not as great so long radius used is not appropriate and the resulting circle one (e) the student difficulty connecting the intersection of the arc caused origin students in making the line and less precise in determining the point of intersection; (f) students have difficulty determining the radius of the circle because the students did not precisely define the center point and the point of the triangle (g) in the outer circle painted triangles, the difficulties experienced by students is not appropriate to make the axes, determine the radius of the circle and the center point of the circle; (2) the factors that caused the difficulties in drawing an inner circle and an outside circle in a triangle for students are: (a) lack of student interest; (b) low student motivation; (c) the lack of understanding the subject matter; (d) the lack of need for students to ask the teacher for lessons that are poorly understood.
