The use of contraceptive method becomes attention. A survey by RPJMN of 2013 indicated that married couples of childbearing ages who knew all modern contraceptives were only 10.6%, so that an education of family plan benefits is very important in determining which contraceptives they will used. Purpose of the research is to analyze difference of knowledge of non-contraceptive acceptors couple of childbearing ages before and after an education by using Snowball Throwing about hormonal contraceptive. The research is a qualitative one with quasi-experimental design and non-equivalent control group. Location of the research is of Pucangan village, Kartasura district. The research was conducted on August 2015. Sample of the research is 78 respondents divided into 39 respondents in treatment group and 39 respondents in control group. The sample is taken by using sample random sampling. Statistical test uses paired sample t-test and independent t-test. Knowledge of both groups after provision of education by using snowball throwing method were: the control group had less adequate knowledge, namely 64.1%, whereas the treatment group had adequate knowledge, namely 65.0%. It can be suggested that related parties should improve knowledge about hormonal contraceptives by considering the numbers of target participants.
