IUD is a contraceptive method that is effective and reversible with effectiveness> 99% in preventing pregnancy, but the use of IUDs is low and declining. Polokarto Health Center IUD users at 1.7% of total other contraceptive users and the lowest among other health centers. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between husband support and knowledge of mothers with an IUD election in Polokarto. This research is a quantitative research with Case-Control design. Its population is new IUD users as many as 104 by the sampling technique using Simple Random Sampling consisted of 52 cases and 52 controls. The results obtained that more than half of respondents IUD users (57.7%) received the support of her husband, and 69.2% of respondents IUD users have a good knowledge. Based on the results of the Chi-square test showed that there is a relationship between mother knowledge (p = 0.002 <0.05;OR = 3,6;95% CI = 1,599 to 8,107) and there is no relationship between husband support (p = 0.326> 0 , 05) with the election of IUD. This study suggests to KPP-KB to socialize the provision of information and service KIE especially regarding safe contraceptin in the comunity, especially the IUD so that the method selected for each rational, effective,efficient and in accordance with the intended use of family planning and contraception
