J 300 120 004 RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL HYGIENE BEHAVIORS IN FOOD HANDLERS OF Dr. MOEWARDI GENERAL HOSPITAL Background: The implementation of hygiene and healthy food are the basic principles of organization of food management in hospital. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and personal gygiene in food handlers of Dr. Moewardi General Hospital. Method: This research was a descriptive study. The population in this study was taken from workers at Dr. Moewardi General Hospital, while the study subject were 30 workers in the food processing plant of Dr. Moewardi General Hospital. Result: The results showed that knowledge of most workers was good (60%) and the behavior of personal hygiene of most workers was also good (53,3%). There was a significant relationship between knowledge and personal hygiene behaviors in food handlers of Dr. Moewardi General Hospital (p= 0,011). Conclusion: there was a relationship between knowledge and personal hygiene behaviors in food handlers of Dr. Moewardi General Hospital.
