Summary:This research has the purpose to test: (1) examine the differences in strategy use inquiry-based learning and discovery learning on student learning outcomes, (2) test the differences in levels of motivation on student learning outcomes, (3) testing the interaction between the strategy of inquiry based learning and discovery learning in terms of the level of student motivation toward learning outcomes of this siswa.Penelitian manifold experimental research. The population in this study are all students of class VII SMP Negeri 4 Klaten the academic year 2015/2016. The research sample taken is class C and class VII VII D. The sampling technique in this study using Simple Random Sampling. Data collection methods used were tests and questionnaires as the principal methods and documentation as an auxiliary method. The analysis technique used is the analysis of variance of two jalurdengan cells are not the same that were previously done using methods Liliefors normality test and homogeneity test using Bartlett method. From the results of research at α = 5% was obtained: (1) There are significant differences in the results of learning mathematics using a strategy of inquiry based learning and strategy discovery learning, (2) There are significant differences the result of learning mathematics in terms of level of student motivation, (3) No interaction between learning strategies and motivation for mathematics learning outcomes.
