The purpose of this simulation is to determine the effect of variations of blank holder force and coefficient of friction against wrinkling and thinning defects in the process of cup drawing. Simulations carried out using software AutoForm R2 and tools that are used to follow the standards NumiSheet 2014 Benchmark 4 of wrinkling during cup drawing. There are five variations of blank holder force used in this simulation 37N, 57N, 77N, 97N and 117N and four variations of the coefficient of friction of 0.05, 0.15, 0.25, and 0.35. Plate material used is aluminum plate with a thickness of 0.32 mm and a zinc plate with a thickness of 0.30 mm. Results analysis of simulation data either on an aluminum plate and zinc plate material is impaired wrinkling when there is an increase blank holder force and coefficient of friction. While thinning that occurs is inversely proportional to the results of wrinkling, thinning percentage even higher due to rising blank holder force and coefficient of friction. Analysis of test material failure with forming limit diagram shows that all the cups are in a safe condition and free from fracture.
