Summary: | Background. Malaria is an infectious disease of global attention. This disease is still often cause (Extraordinary Incident). Factors related with the incidence of malaria is the environment and people's behavior. Healthy Hygienic Behavior (PHBS) is a set of behaviors in practice on the basis of consciousness as a result of learning in the field of health and play an active role in creating public health. Research purposes. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship healthy hygienic behavior with the incidence of malaria in the region of Sorong city health center in West Papua. Method. This research uses observational method with cross-sectional approach. A large sample of 77 respondents were taken 39 respondents were positive malaria and 38 respondents were negative malaria based on secondary data from health centers, using cluster of sampling technicalrandom sampling. Statistical test used is Chi-square. hich it Results. Respondents with good healthy hygienic behavior is (54.5%) more than poor healthy hygienic (45.5%). From the results, the Chi-square test p value of 0.0000 (<0.005), it can be concluded there is a relationship healthy hygienic behavior with the incidence of malaria in Sorong city health center in West Papua 2015. Conclusion. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is a relationship healthy hygienic behavior with the incidence of malaria in the region of Sorong city health center in West Papua 2015. Significant result p = 0.000 (<0.005). |
