Background: Adolence behavior are vulnerable to environmental influences such as family, school, peer group and society factor that can affect growth and development adolescence and all the problems include depression disorder. Objective: To analyze whether there are differences of depression rate between female student of class XI at Islamic Boarding School Al-Mukmin and Senior High School 2 Sukoharjo. Methods: The study is observational analytic method with cross sectional approach using cluster sampling technique. The samples taken from 43 respondents in each group. This study use a questionnaire to determine the L-MMPI truth scoresand BDI questionnaire to measure the level of depression. Data were analyzed using t-test statistical test. Results: The results of analysis of data, count of depression at Islamic Boarding School 19 students and at Senior High School 7 students with presentage the rate of depression at Islamic Boarding School 22,09% and Senior High School 8,13%. The difference of mean is 3,02 and obtained p=0,023 significance when score p < 0,05. Conclusion: Female Students Class XI at Islamic Boarding School Al-Mukmin more depressed that female student at Senior High School 2 Sukoharjo.
