This study aimed to assess the effect of learning outcomes in science knowledge in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Polanharjo Klaten which used Mind map learning method. This research is True Experiment, with Posttest Only Control Design. The populations in this study were all of students in VII class at SMP Negeri 1 Polanharjo klaten. The sample used in VII D class as an experiment, and a class VII F in class control. Sampling which used to take a sample is sampling random simple technique. Data collection techniques are documentation, observation, testing, and literature. Gething the data were analyzed the prerequisite test analysis that were normality data, homogeneity and then using the Independent Sample t-Test. The results of the Independent Sample t-Test analysis obtained significance value of 0.000, it means < 0.05 so Ho rejected. Beside that it received an average student's learning activity in a group experiment amounted to 78.9 and 72.3 in the control group. From this study it can be concluded that Mind Map method gave affect student's result in science learning in VII class at SMP Negeri 1 Polanharjo Klaten in second semester in 2015/2016 academic year.
