520 |a This study aims to determine the influence of a leader member exchange, locus of control on job satisfaction and organizational commitment as a mediating variable in Karanganyar Local Government in this case one of the SKPD that is Karanganyar District Secretary Department. This study used survey as the method by using primary data obtained from questionnaires. The population in this study is Karanganyar District Secretary Department. The number of samples in this study were 61 respondents drawn by convenience sampling technique. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and path analysis. The results showed that: leader member exchange has no effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment does not mediate the influence of a leader member exchange to the job satisfaction. Meanwhile, locus of control effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment mediates the effect of locus of control to the satisfaction of the performance, but merely a partial mediation (partial mediation). Path analysis shows that the variable of organizational commitment is not fully mediated (partial mediation), because prior mediated locus of control variables also affect the job satisfaction.
