Summary: | This study have three aims to: 1) describes steps of the principal decision making in terms of aspects identification of problems regarding discipline violations by students and teachers, 2) explain the steps of principals decision making in terms of aspects the study of the situation and the causes of violations of discipline by students and teachers, 3) knowing the steps of the principal's decision making in terms of aspects positive and negative impacts for students or teachers. This research is qualitative research with case study design. Data was collected by observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis use interactive model of analysis. Results of this research there are three things about: 1) Steps of decision making principals in terms of aspects identifying problems regarding violations of discipline by students and teachers is to identify, find out what types of disciplinary violations, find and determine the type of sanction and the solution to this type of violation of discipline, implement the decisions of the types of violations that are mild, moderate and severe. 2) steps of principals decision making in terms of aspects the study of the situation and the causes of violations of discipline by students and teachers, includes principals know more closely students and teachers; observing offenses committed students and teachers and look for the cause of the infringement; search and find factors that cause students and teachers in disciplines violation; clarify the causes of violations committed by students and teachers and finding the cause. 3) steps of the principal's decision making in terms of aspects positive and negative impacts for students or teachers, are principals recognize the type of violation and its impact; supervising teachers in managing students in the classroom; direct supervision to students and teachers concern the violations committed students; establish communication and socialization to students to keep clean; conduct direct supervision to students and encourage the active participation of teachers to build the character and behavior of students by role model; and tell the teacher not to show smoke in front of students. |
