The effect of hypothermia are the change of the body's metabolism, hypoglycemia, metabolic acidosis, shortness of breath, abnormal clotting factors, as well as heart failure and lung. Such conditions can increase morbidity and infant mortality. Thus it needs for prevention of hypothermia. There are 11 of 33 patients recorded experiencing hipotermia LBW infants in the last three monts at RSUD Pandan Arang Boyolali. Methods: Taking the case was conducted from March 28th until March 31st, 2016. The method used is descriptive method, on By. U. Objective: The general objective of writing a scientific paper are to determine and implement the prevention of hypothermia in infants with low birth weight in accordance with the standards of nursing. Special-purpose writing scientific papers are conducting studies, data analysis, formulate nursing diagnoses, develop an action plan, nursing action in accordance with the action plan, and evaluate nursing actions for the prevention of hypothermia on LBW. Results: After nursing action for 4 x 24 hours of patients did not experience hypothermia. Conclusion: hypothermia prevention efforts that have been made to the By. U using nursing care in accordance with the standards of nursing during treatment By. U not experience hypothermia.
