The act of operations as sectio of caesarea is one form of medical intervention planned usually longstanding , need to be controlled respiratory , so very risk over the one soul and can lead to the patient experienced anxiety . One of to handle anxiety before operations with the handheld finger relaxation. Handheld finger relaxation can control and restore emotion that would make the body be relaxed. Research aims to understand the influence of techniques of handheld finger relaxation to a decrease in anxiety in patients pre operation sectio of cæsarea .The research is a quantitative research with quasi experiment and nonequivalent control group with pre-post test design. Sample was 16 patient as the control group and 16 patient as the experiment (given techniques of handheld finger relaxation) in the waiting room patients ok (operatie kamer) hospital dr. Moewardi surakarta. Sampling technique by accidental sampling. The collection of data is collected of sheets observation hars ( hamilton anxiety rating scale) . Data analysis was done using analysis paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The test results of independent sample t-test result that there are no differences in anxiety levels pre test in the treatment group and the control group (p-value = 0.815) and there are different levels of anxiety post-test in the treatment group and the control group (p-value = 0.029). The results showed that the test results paired sample t-test there was no difference in anxiety levels pre-test and post-test in the control group (p-value = 0.057), and there are differences in anxiety levels pre and post test experimental group (p-value = 0.001)
