Summary:Electrical energy is one of the basic needs of people in their activities, both used for household needs and insdustrial purposes. The process of distribution of electrical energy from the power plant to the consumer must be kept reliable. Pusdiklat Migas Cepu is one of the industry that has its own power plants to meet the electrical energy need. The source of its power plant energy is from diesel engine. Location of the plant away from the load causes the high value of the voltage drop on some buses, but it also causes power losses large amount of system. This prompted the need for a solution to these problems. An alternative solution is the installation of DG on the distribution network. This study aims to determine the effect arising from the installation of DG on the characteristics of the distribution system Pusdiklat Migas Cepu. The data required is taken directly and then simulated using the software ETAP Power Station 12.6. The results of the simulation after the installation of DG on the distribution network showed that the value of the voltage drop already match the standard set. The circuit power losses can be decreased by 72,72% in the active power and 82,74% in the reactive power.
