Summary:Background: An elbow stiffness joint is stiffness in the elbow joint. Elbow stiffness may be because the ultimate effect of trauma, as well as tissue damage around the elbow that will cause the connective tissue and there will be some adhesions, as well as the shortening of the muscles and ligaments around the elbow while in the long immobilization. In such cases can be dealt with physiotherapy modalities. In this case the use of infrared radiation and exercise therapy to reduce pain, increase range of motion, increase muscle strenght and improve functional activities. Purpose: To know the physiotherapy in reducing pain, increasing range of motion, muscle strength and improve functional activity in the case of elbow joint stiffness dextra using infrared radiation modalities and theraupeutic exercise. Result: After treatment for six times the result obtained in the assessment of pain became T1: 2, into T6: 1, pain tenderness T1: 3, into T6: 1, painful motion T1: 5, into T6: 2, an increase in range of motion elbow dextra S: T1: 00-400-1250, be T6: 00-100-1400, while in the wrist joint S: T1: 350-00-550, be T6: 450-00-600, increased strength dextra elbow flexor muscles T1: 4, be T6: 5, ekstensor elbow T1: 3, be T6: 4, wrist flexor dextra T1: 4, be T6: 5, wrist ekstensor T1: 3, be T6: 4, increase functional activity T1: 36%, into T6: 22%. Conclusion: Infrared radiation can reduce pain, exercise therapy can improve range of motion, increase muscle strength, improve functional activity in the right elbow in a state of elbow stiffness post fracture radius ulna 1/3 proximal.
