Land Potential Index as land assessment efforts in Bantul district, land area to produce good quality in accordance with the potential of agriculture so land use can be maximized and not misuse. Assessment of Land Potential Index is based on characteristics slope, hydrology, soil type, lithology and the vulnerability to generate classes Land Potential Index on agricultural land (crops). Results Land Index Potential in the form of local areas with potential index Agricultural Land Food in Kabupten Bantul low value on the District Dlingo, and Imogiri and high value at the sub district Piyungan, Pleret, Pundong, Pandak, Sedayu and Kretek and very high value on Kasihan, Sewon, Banguntapan, Bantul, Jetis, Bambanglipuro, Srandakan and Sanden. With compatibility between IPL and Productivity occur in Sanden, Dlingo, Sedayu, Imogiri and Bantul .
