MANAGEMENT IN THE CASE OF ISCHIALGIA SINISTRA et causa HERNIA NUCLEUS PULPOSUS (HNP) HOSPITALS DR. RAMELAN SURABAYA (Icha Sri Haryati, 2016, 38 pages) Background: Sciatica is a pain of root nerve or a radicular pain of lower leg under knee joint, usually caused herniated disc of lumbale can cause pain and limited range of motion. Study about physiotherapy management in reducing pain, increasing range of motion in the case of ischialgia using modalities Transcutaneus Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Mc. Kenzie exercise. Purpose: Detected hysiotherapy management in reducing pain, increasing renge of motion, and increasing functional activity in the case of ischialgia et causa Hernia Nucleus Pulposus (HNP) using modalities Transcutaneus Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Mc. Kenzie exercise Result: After therapy for about six times the obtained results of increase pain in painful T0 : 4 to T6 : 3, tenderness T0 : 5 to T6 : 4, motion pain T0 : 6 to T6 : 5. Increase range of motion flexion T0 : 44 cm to T6 : 46 cm and move of extension is constant T0 : 37 cm to T6 : 37 cm. Increase functional activity T0 : value of owestry index 30% to T6 : value of owestry index 28%. Conclusion: Transcutaneus Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Mc. Kenzie exercise can reduce pain, improve range of motion trunk, and increase functional activity in the case of ischialgia et causa Hernia Nucleus Pulposus (HNP).
