This research aims to know the influence of soaking coconut sugar water solution with the addition of wuluh star fruit extract against long cut Chrysanthemum flower freshness. This research was conducted at the Green House Laboraturium Biology Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta in April 2016. The method used is an experiment, with the draft Complete Random Design Research (RAL) 2 factors with different concentrations of aqueous coconut water (0%, 20%, 40%, and 60%) with the addition of wuluh star fruit extract (0%, 5%, 15% and 25%). From the analysis of the test of Anava two lines obtained at the test result of interaction between the concentration of a solution of coconut water with wuluh star fruit extract significant value p = 0,564 (p 0.05 >) means that there is no significant difference or granting of coconut water and wuluh star fruit extract on Chrysanthemum cut there was no significant difference against Chrysanthemum flower pieces. The experiment results show that the addition of aqueous coconut water with wuluh star fruit extract on a mixed solution of Chrysanthemum cut gives a better effect against the level of freshness of cut Chrysanthemum flower. compared with the control treatment, as seen at the treatment of the old K2F3 the freshness of flowers Chrysanthemum 13.66 average day while in the control treatment (K0F0) average 8.33 today. K2F3 treatment is the treatment with the best concentration able to maintain freshness of the Chrysanthemum flower cut 5 days longer compared to the control treatment. | ||
