Summary:Background: Bronchiectasis is defined as localized, irreversible destruction of the walls of cartilage-containing airways with resultant dilatation of bronchus. The symptom include cough, over production of sputum, chest pain, breathless and hemoptosis. And for superintend that problem, the modality is infra red and active cycle of breathing technique (ACBT). Objective: To know influence of infra red and active cycle of breathing technique (ACBT) for increase patient capability to remove sputum, decrease level of breathless and chest pain in the case of bronchiectase. Results: After treatment for 4 times the obtained results on the patient capability to remove sputum : T0: patient can not remove sputum become T4: patient can't remove sputum becouse there's nothing sputum in the lung. This is indicate patient capability to remove sputum is increase. Level of breathless with Borg scale: T0: 5 become T4: 2. This is indicate that level of breathless is decrease. At inspection of chest pain with VAS (in cm), the result is decrease with output T0: pressure pain (4) movement pain (4,7), become T4: pressure pain (2), movement pain (2,5), that is indicate that level of chest pain is decrease. Conclusion: Management physiotherapy with infra red and active cycle of breathing technique (ACBT) in the case of bronchiectase founding result be present increase patient capability to remove sputum, decrease level of breathless and chest pain.
