Summary: | ABSTRACT Background: Sprint is athletics to bring into a range of 100, 200 and 400 meters. When the sprint the oxygen needs are not met resulting in the accumulation of lactic acid. Lactate is the end product of the energy pathway called glycolysis. Normal levels of lactate is 0.5-2 mmol / L. How to speed up the disposal of lactate is to increase blood flow and cardiac. Mechanical pressing and pushing on massage caused the emptying and filling of vessels, so smooth. Lactic out of muscle taken to heart through a vein subsequently converted to piruat. Massage technique used is the technique of effleurage and friction, effleurage the manipulation of rubbing lightly with the hand surface, while friction is round spiral movement towards the heart, massage is done for 10 minutes. Objective: To determine the effect of Effleurage and Friction Against Decrease Lactic Acid Levels Runners Sprint 400 meters. Methods: The study design Experimental Semu with separate pretest-posttest design. Samples are 12 samples, sampling technique is total sampling. RESULTS: The test Wilchokson treatment group gained value z (-2207) p-value 0.027 <0.05 Wilchokson test control group gained value z (-2201) 0028 p-value of <0.05 indicates a passive rest can menurunan lactate. Meanwhile, Mann-Whitney test obtained by value z (-2887) p-value 0.004 <0.05 indicates a decrease in lactate difference between treatment and control groups. Conclusion: It was concluded highest decrease in lactic acid contained in the treatment group compared to the control group. |
