Summary:Learning in school has a very important role for students in the classroom. One of the learning which students create notes in the form of creative and innovative is mind map. The purpose of this reasearch is This study aims to determine the effect of mind maps learning to learning outcomes of sutdent VIII in junior high school of 2 Sawit Boyolali on even semester on 2015/2016. This study uses a true experiment with post-test only control group desaign. The study population was all students of class VIII. Data samples taken by random sampling as much as 4 classes. Mind map of learning applied in class A and B, while discussion of learning applied in class C and D. Data obtained by the end of the test (posttest) and documentation. The analize of this data used Independent Sample T-Test. Before the data were analyzed, first tested the prerequisites, namely in the form of normality and homogeneity test. The results of this study are learning mind map obtained average value of 74.79 and the learning gained control of the average value of 71.76. After precondition is met followed the hypothesis test (3.997)> t table (1.986), then the decision H0 is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the learning mind map can affect the learning to learning outcomes of student VIII in junior high school of 2 Sawit Boyolali on even semester on 2015/2016.
