Metal casting is an important industry in Klaten municipality. The supporting factorsare the ability to cooperate to other parties and its technological transfer. However studies to measure how they influence to the efficiency do not conducted. The focus of this paper is to determine the efficiency of the metal casting industry that have partnership to other parties. The research method is quantitative research method. The sampel are from2011 to 2015 10 medium-large metal casting industriesin Ceper distric of Klaten municipality. Variables in the research are the production (Y), raw materials (X1), the number of workers (X2), capital (X3), and partnerships (Z1) and technological transfer (Z2). Data is collected by means of interviews based on table-questionnaires data. Data processing method is regression method called stochastic frontier regression models. The results showed that the stochastic frontier production function can calculate the technical efficiency of the metal casting industry in Ceper district of Klaten municipality.The average per firm technical efficiency is 0,98, whereas the average technical efficiencyper year is 0.994. All of inputs such as raw materials value, number of workers and value of capital are significantly influence the value of production. Number of partnership and technological transfer do not influence the technical efficiency. Recommendation can be given is to strenghthen and sinergize the partnership quality and technological transfer so that the level of technical efficiency can be increased.
