Orthopedic disorders related to overweight and obesity is changing the alignment direction of foot pronation. With the weight gain that is too excessive alignment will cause the body to change, starting from the knee to the foot alignment. Objective: Knowing the relationship between excess weight with changes in the medial longitudinal arch and foot alignment. Methods: This type of research used in this study was observational with cross sectional approach. Measurement of the medial longitudinal arch using arch index and foot alignmnet using the foot posture index. Data analysis using chi-square test. Results: There is a relationship overweight with medial longitudinal arch changes after statistical test using chi-square test was obtained p-value 0.002. There is a relationship overweight with a change of foot alignment towards pronation showed a p-value of 0.002. Conclusion: There is a correlation with excess weight changes medial longitudinal arch and foot alignment.
