Description
Summary:The population growth that continues to grow in Indonesia led to increased fuel consumption. Rice husk is one of the renewable energy potential in Indonesia this. Rice husk can be converted into methane gas by gasification process. Gasification is the process of converting fuel into a gaseous form by means of heating. In testing the gasification of rice husk, there are three variations of insulating wall, a glass wool, clay, refractory clay. Based on this research aims to gain influence on the insulation wall combustion temperature and burning time effectively produced. The research was initiated to test the burning of the gas isolator variation glass wool, clay and refractory clay, by burning rice hulls in a gasification furnace in the supply of air from the fan, and then measured the effective combustion flame temperature and measuring temperature insulating wall. Temperature measurement every 3 minutes. The results showed variations insulating wall affect the combustion temperature generated. The temperature of combustion in gas isolator glass wool reach 603 oc, with a temperature of 362 oc insulator and time effective flame for 12 minutes. Isolator clay combustion temperature reaches 633 oc, with a temperature of 484 oc insulator and time effective flame for 22 minutes. insulating refractory clay combustion temperature reaches 600 oc, with a temperature of 489 oc insulator and time effective flame for 23 minutes. the lower the temperature insulating wall, the higher combustion temperature generated and the longer the effective burning time.
