Summary:Competition and change requires companies to adapt to changes and developments through the management company. Working environment is very important to improve the job satisfaction of nurses, as well as relationships with colleagues and superiors as well as salary and career enhancement. Their career advancement opportunities to improve the performance of nurses, hospitals need to provide information and career development training. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between perceptions of career and job satisfaction. The hypothesis of this research that there is a positive relationship between perceptions of career and job satisfaction. The method in this study using a quantitative approach. The population in the study of nurses BLUD DR.Moewardi Hospital, with the subject of the study is a hospital nurse Dr.Moewardi with tenure of less than 6 years old who were in the room orchids, roses and jasmine with a number of subjects 55. The data collection tool used is job satisfaction scale and the scale of perception of the career ladder. The analysis method uses product moment correlation technique with SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) 16.0 for Windows Program. The results obtained by the r value of 0.371; p = 0.005 (p <0.01), which showed a very significant positive relationship between perceptions of career and job satisfaction. Which means that the higher the perception of the career ladder, the higher job satisfaction and conversely the lower the perception of the career ladder, the lower job satisfaction. Based on the results of research known job satisfaction of nurses at the Hospital Dr.Moewardi is high. Job satisfaction has the empirical mean (RE) and the mean hypothetical 128.64 (RH) 112.5. effective contribution of variable perceptions of career and job satisfaction of 13.7% and 86.3%, there are still other factors that affect job satisfaction.
