Özet

The purpose of this study is to describe the process of implementation and religious values contained in each of the series of events Tedhak Siten ceremony in the local tradition in the village Banyuagung Banjarsari District of Surakarta. This research is a Qualitative. This study uses data collection techniques including observation, nterviews, and documentation. This study uses triangulation triangulation of data sources and data collection techniques. Data analysis technique used is interactive analysis. The results of the ceremonial procession Tedhak Siten in children ages 7 months in the tradition of traditional Javanese village Banyuagung District of Banjarsari Surakarta is the process of implementation of the ceremony Tedhak Siten implemented through seven stages, with the procession walking over the porridge seven colors with the goal of being able to solve all problems, preparation procession up the steps expected of children 7 months higher and go up, go down the stairs cane as an adult will be able to meet their needs, sign in cages chickens are expected to fulfill their needs through work, the parents spread the coins later children prefer, do spray with expectations the name of a good family, and be dressed in new clothes have a nice way of life. Religious value contained in a ceremonial procession Tedhak Siten is to deliver and introduce the baby to the outside world in the hope of safety, health, prosperity afterlife, and as gratitude for 7 month old baby. Tedhak Siten in the area is quite simple, because the most important is the meaning, expectations, and objectives especially for families who carry out.
